Manitoba Music Launches Streaming Holiday Playlist, Guide to Buying Local Holiday Tunes

The snow is falling, the lights are shining, and it's starting to feel a lot like the holidays! 

We've put together a playlist brimming with holiday cheer featuring holiday and winter-themed music by local artists, including new and original tunes, old favourites, and some traditional carols.

So put another log on fire, cuddle up with some warm cocoa, and let this be your soundtrack for the season.

It's beginning to sound a lot like Christmas... in no small due to Red Moon Road! The acclaimed three-piece, who landed on the prestigious Polaris Music Prize longer list for Sorrows & Glories, are celebrating the season with a new album, A Simple Kind Of Christmas. Recorded in their jam space above The Good Will Social Club in downtown Winnipeg, the album features seven tracks, including originals and traditionals. The trio launched the album with a pair of special listening parties and also pulled together a playful and festive video for the title track. The title track just so happens to be our featured song this week.
