It's time to start making those summer concert plans because Jazz Winnipeg is almost here with the 35th edition of TD Winnipeg International Jazz Festival

Kicking off June 14, this year's festivities return to stages throughout the city with a genre-spanning lineup that highlights innovative artists from Manitoba shining alongside stellar touring acts from across Canada and beyond. 

The always popular concerts at The Cube at Old Market Square return June 19-22, each night with a free curated show spanning the genres from jazz to indie pop to Latin to blues and hip hop. Local acts hitting the stage this year include Beatox, Brazilian Beats, Dr. Henry Band, Flora Luna, Freddy and the Fire Nation, Philippe Meunier, Son of Dave, Yaadies, and more. 

Jazz Fest is also offering some new opportunities to catch some tunes outdoors with shows at Little Brown Jug and the Bijou Patio with artists including CECConnor + Cordelia, Jana Jacobs, KWIAT, Onna Lou, The AstronomicsTrio Bembe with Mama Sol JamesImpressions Jazz Group, and more. 

The Club Series returns to this year's festivities with events at the Fort Garry Hotel, Pyramid Cabaret, and Royal Albert Arms. The Pyramid Cabaret will host Dirty Catfish Brass Band, The Lytics, and Compost on June 14 and bring in DJS for the Roaring 2020s show on June 15. Head to the Royal Albert Arms for a series of shows highlighting emerging acts, Canadian Jazz Showcases, and the nightly free jazz jam hosted by Ilya Osachuck, June 20 - 22. Catch a series of salutes to some musical greats at the Fort Garry Hotel, June 16 - 19, including Jeff Beck (Ego Spank), Astrud Gilberto (Nova Brasil Collective, The Sadler Sisters), Burt Bacharach (Jennifer Janson), and Tony Bennett (Nadia Douglas).

Headliners making their way onto marquees at The Burton Cummings Theatre and Knox United Church this year include Preservation Hall Jazz Band with Kind Neighbours, Veronica Swift with Laura Anglade, Isaiah Collier + The Chosen Few with local artist INGIA, Benny Green: Solo Piano with JUNO-winnipeg local act Jocelyn Gould, and Pasquale Grasso Trio with Free Time.
