For music fans looking to discover new artists at an intimate festival setting in the pristine outdoors, the Rainbow Trout Music Festival (RTMF) might just be the perfect summer event.

The 14th annual event, which runs August 16-18 just south of St. Malo, offers three days of music with a hyper-local focus, camping, craft vendors, and more. Founded and organized by a dedicated volunteer-run group, the indie fest has a loyal audience and tends to sell out of passes every year.

Of this year's 25+ performers, many are homegrown, and span plenty of genres. This year's lineup includes singer/songwriter Field Guide, indie punk band Guilty Sleep, R&B artist HAVS, pop singer/songwriter HERA, folk singer/songwriter Larysa Musick, indie punk act Leon's Getting Larger, rock guitarist / songwriter / producer Paige Drobot, singer/songwriter Shay Wolf, glampunk band Show Pony, indie pop act sundayclub, alternative rock trio The Haileys, sonic voyager Thunder McVey, AFRODIEM artist Tommyphyll, and more.

Touring acts making their way to Manitoba include bilingual folk electro pop duo Beau Nectar, post-classical guitarist Bilal Nasser, psych rockers Hot Garbage, and more.

Other artists taking the stage include Direct Hit No Damage, Fencing, Góra, Julien's Daughter, MA.BWE, MOONBEAN, OLGA, Passion Play, Smoky Tiger, Strawberry Punch, The Sunshine Bunch, Tie Guan Yin, and WIP.

Stay tuned for ticket info and the performance schedule!
