n e u r o s h o c k is a solo electronic music by award winning (Excelsior Award 2023) artist, Ben Rüsch.

Rüsch is one of the founding members of Canadian progressive rock trio, PROVIDENCE, which is currently on an extended hiatus.

With  n e u r o s h o c k, Rüsch deep dives into his first musical love, synth music - especially the dark, industrial styles. There has definitely been a learning curve as a drummer. learning to use VST instruments, and learning to play keyboards. However, it's been something he's always wanted to do, especially on his own - there is no band.

Writing and performing as neuroshock has allowed Rüsch to grow as a musician, while being uncompromising to his musical vision. "It's been gratifying to throw caution to the wind and walk down this path of discovery and invention".

Rüsch's solo project began as a way to deal with the solitude imposed by the COVID pandemic.    Isolation was the seed of neuroshock.  The lyrical and musical themes describe a  dystopian world tempered with nihilism and alienation.

Rüsch plays all instruments himself, using a mixture of vintage harware and modern VST synths in the studio.
