From the album Blue Skies and Bright Eyes
Featured track, available from October 23 to October 31
Manitoba Showcase 2014 is coming to Brandon. The annual event, which puts artists across the disciplines on stage in front of delegates and arts orgs, is bringing over a dozen acts to Wheat City October 24-25 for music, dance, visual arts, and more. Local acts hitting the Western Manitoba Centennial Auditorium include Leaf Rapids and Sierra Noble. Manitoba Music is also joining in the the fun with couple of industry workshops and a special showcase of emerging Manitoba talent at the Royal Oak Inn on October 24 featuring singer/songwriters Cassidy Mann, French Press, and Laura Enns.
Cassidy Mann has been keeping herself pretty busy this year, hitting stages JUNOfest, BreakOut West, and the Winnipeg Folk Festival. Her single “Don’t Give Up On Me” reached the number one spot on Canada’s National Aboriginal Music Countdown, she popped up in the media, and her debut full-length, Blue Skies and Bright Eyes, earned her a Western Canadian Music Award nod. Stay tuned for more upcoming shows in Winnipeg next month. Meanwhile, we've got her song "The Atlantic" for you as this week's featured song. Download it and don't miss Cassidy Mann live at Manitoba Showcase 2014.
