À la mode is getting dressed up this month... the electropop outfit is taking on the role of Metric at Bands as Bands 12 at The Good Will on October 27. For the uninitiated, the Bands as Bands series brings together three local acts to cover three other bands, sometimes with costumes, banter, and more. Also hitting the stage for this Canadiana edition will be The Middle Coast as Mother Mother and Spooky Eyes / Housepanther as Tegan and Sara. À la mode, which recently expanded from a duo of Dominique Lemoine and Ava Glendinning to a fourpiece with the addition of Gage & Kerrigan Salnikowski, has been making plenty of its own music lately. They recently did a one take Super 8 music video for tune "Est-ce qu'on s'aimera" with Zorya Arrow with upcoming plans to expand and release it. They're gearing up for a mini tour of Saskatchewan and Alberta early next month and then will be writing and recording a full length album in the coming year.
