The wait for new music from Leaf Rapids is finally over. The acclaimed dark roots outfit, named after a mining town in northern Manitoba, launches its long-awaited sophomore album, Citizen Alien, via Coax Records worldwide on May 3. Hometown audiences can their paws on the album a day early at the band's release party at the West End Cultural Centre on May 2. Fresh from a coveted showcase at Folk Alliance International in Montreal and a spot at Big Fun, they recently premiered a new video for "Virginia" via Exclaim!. Next up, they'll head over the ocean for a European tour with The Good Lovelies in May and June. We've got their tune "Dear Sister" for you as this week's feature.
