Sol James is hitting centre stage. No stranger to the local scene, she's been hitting festival stages throughout the summer including Heart of The Nation, Trout Forest, Harvest Sun, and more. The soulful roots/blues powerhouse, who just completed a music therapy degree from CMU, is set to launch her new EP Fighting next month. Produced by Ariel Posen, the album is a long-awaited followup to her self-titled 2012 release. She'll take over the West End Cultural Centre on September 5 to celebrate the new album with help from special guests Liam Duncan and Fontine. After that, she'll hit the road for an EP release tour in Alberta. We've got a sneak peek at the new album with her song "Don't Wanna Give Up" for you this week.
