Raine Hamilton
"Brave Land"

From the album Brave Land

Featured track, available from May 11 to May 18

After a winding journey filled with pandemic obstacles, chamber folk artist Raine Hamilton is ready to celebrate their new album, Brave Land, live on stage with hometown audiences! The album has earned Hamilton a #1 spot on the national earshot folk/roots/blues radio charts, airtime on the BBC, and international media coverage. Hamilton and their String Trio will share the album with local fans at the West End Cultural Centre on May 28 and have American Sign Language interpretation and feature performances by Joanna Hawkins, Deaf ASL artist, and Bicycle Face. For folks who want to support but can't be there in person, you can sponsor tickets to be distributed to folks who face barriers to access. Hamilton has been busy sharing their music with audiences, including recent dates in Western Canada, an official showcase spot at Folk Alliance International in Kansas City, a turn at Festival du Voyageur, and the Winnipeg Crankie Festival. They also performed original songs with Manitoba Chamber Orchestra, including their Opening Night doc, and Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra. We've got the title track from the new album for you as this week's feature. Press play, check out the whole album, and stay tuned for much more from Raine Hamilton!
