Kelly Bado has some big sounds for spring and summer playlists! The award-winning Ivory Coast-born, Winnipeg-based singer/songwriter showcases her innovative and soulful style of Afropop on her just-release new French-language album, Belles âmes. Produced by Brian "Sweetwesty" West (Nelly Furtado, K’NAAN, Sia, Maroon 5, Awolnation), it's the debut release from Winnipeg label Odd Doll Records. The recording marks her triumphant return after three years of maternity leave, following up a series of singles in 2024 and early 2025. Keep your eyes open for a music video on May 8 and check out her upcoming tour dates, which include performances at the Axé WorldFest and Gala Trille Or in Ottawa, July dates in Montreal, and a late September spot in Osaka. Audiences in Manitoba can catch her live at the Osborne Village Music Fest June 27-28 and at the Whoop & Holler Folk Festival and August 29.
