Leon’s Getting Larger’s energetic, dynamic instrumentals and heartfelt lyricism has made them a staple of Winnipeg’s blossoming emo scene. The trio has been hard at work since the release of 2023’s Or Something EP with DIY touring and single releases ahead of their debut album You Be Good Now, which showcases their taste for sprawling song structures and shimmering guitars. Leon’s Getting Larger faces themes of loss, anxiety, and exhaustion with cathartic singalong choruses and an overdeveloped sense of sarcasm.
