"Heart Full of Anger"
From the album
Featured track, available from August 16 to August 24
There's no shortage of music to hear in Manitoba this month. Just about every weekend, there's a festival featuring homegrown talent. This weekend, there are five festivals heating up the stage, including Harvest Sun Festival in Kelwood, Lockport Dam Family Festival, Anola Little Music Festival, the inaugural Winnipeg BBQ & Blues Festival, and the Rainbow Trout Music Festival taking place just outside of the Winnipeg city limits. This year's Rainbow Trout features the diverse multi-gentre talents of Ultra Mega, The Empty Standards, Feed the Birds, The Bokononists, Jenny Berkel, Deafwish, The Hoots, Pop Crimes, Mitten Claps, Jupiter Storm, Rob Crooks, Mise En Scene, French Press, and more (including, apparently, a giant water gun battle). We've got French Press' new tune, "Heart Full of Anger", for you as this week's featured download. The indie pop chanteuse, a.k.a. Chantel Emond, is working on her debut full length and recently released a video for "Heart Full of Anger". Download the song it here, watch the video, read more about local summer festivals, and go outside and hear some live music!
