The Manitoba Chapter of Women In Music Canada is celebrating Manitoba's vibrant music scene and Winnipeg's 150th with the release of Her (204): Stories of One Great City Revisited this month. The compilation features nine reinterpretations of songs by artists from Manitoba shared by nine stellar women and gender-diverse artists. Her (204) will be available for purchase at the show or McNally Grant Park starting next week, plus you'll be able to stream on all platforms.

We've got a special sneak preview with R&B artist and visionary Soul Supreme curator Keisha Booker's interpretation of "Brown Woman" by Toronto-based, Tataskweyak Cree Nation multi-instrumentalist singer/songwriter and producer Sebastian Gaskin. Gaskin's original, titled "Brown Man", earned him a 2025 JUNO nomination and also appears on his latest release, LOVECHILD (Ishkōdé Records). In addition to the upcoming Her (204) launch you can catch, who has been participating in songwriting sessions in L.A., at the next Soul Supreme event on March 22 at 291 Bannatyne Ave.
