For her next album, Romi Mayes is stepping out of the studio and onto the stage to bring her fans a live album. The hard-touring roots singer/songwriter, who garnered a Juno nod and two Western Canadian Music Awards for her last effort, Achin In Yer Bones, will take over the West End Cultural Centre with special guests Jason Nowicki (The Perpetrators), Jaxon Haldane (The D.Rangers), Ken McMahon, and Damon Mitchell (Nathan, New Meanies) for a live recording of all new songs on January 14. There will also be a full length documentary about the making of the live album. Mayes will release the new CD on April 26 in Canada and U.S. with touring to follow, but you can download "Tire Marks" from The Loudspeaker to keep you going until then.
