Festival du Voyageur Unveils Lineup for 2024 Edition
Manitoba's premier winter festival gearing up for 2024! Festival du Voyageur has unveiled the programming for this year's festival, which has a well-earned reputation for booking diverse acts covering just about every genre imaginable, from traditional tunes to hip hop to indie rock to roots.
Beyond the ice sculptures, beard growing, and the warmth of caribou, the February institution is a busy music festival, offering music fans a celebration of Franco-Manitoban culture with music taking centre stage. The 10-day event, which kicks off on February 16, boasts over 150 live music performances, including plenty of homegrown talent and local heroes.
This year's list of local artists includes stellar local names including Al Simmons, Alpha Toshineza, Amos the Kid, Andrina Turenne, Apollo Suns, Ash and the Arsonists, Billy Joe Green, Bobby Dove, Brandi Vezina, Burnstick, Catie St.Germain, Daniel Désorcy, Desiree Dorion, Dr Henry Band, Dust Rhinos, El Leon and The Strangers, Fire & Smoke, Flora Luna, Foxwell, French RK, Gator Beaulieu, HAVS, Hello Fiasco, Jade Turner, Jérémie & The Delicious Hounds, Jocelyne Baribeau, Julien's Daughter, Kwiat, Lana Winterhalt, Larysa Musick, Leaf Rapids, Madame Diva et Micah!, Neighhour Andy, Nic Messner, Noah Derksen, Sala, Sassy Mellows, Sean Burns & Lost Country, Show Pony, Snackie, sundayclub, Syd Bomek, The Coveralls, The JD Edwards Band, The Lytics, The Sun Runner, Tired Cossack, and more. Other special music programming includes a songwriters circle hosted by Tyler Del Pino featuring Don Amero, Raine Hamilton, and Dominique Adams; Chicane életrique, Le 100 NONS' renowned francophone battle of the bands; Compound, a collaboration between Rayannah, Stephan Azulay, and dancers of the Royal Winnipeg Ballet; plus changes to see student performers and plenty of tributes by local artists to music stars like Feist and Rage Against the Machine.
